The production of the Australian component of The Contaminated Sites Law & Policy Directory has been managed by David Cole in his role as Special Counsel (Environmental Law) DLA Phillips Fox and formerly as the Director of the Centre for Environmental Management and Compliance at the University of South Australia.

The compilation of the Australian works would not have been possible without the assistance of several researchers and writers including Katie-Jane Williams* (South Australian Environment Protection Authority), Matt Lady* (DLA Phillips Fox) and Monika Stasiak (Zero Waste SA and formerly with the University of South Australia).

Contaminated sites regulators throughout Australia have also contributed in discussing various issues face to face and by telephone and in reading and commenting on drafts of the Summaries. They include Kerry Laszig (Department of Environment and Conservation, WA), Andrew Pruszinski (Environment Protection Authority, SA), Chris McAuley (Environment Protection Authority, Victoria), Niall Johnston and Elvin Wong (Department of Environment and Conservation, NSW), Mark Heckenberg (Department of Environment, Climate Change, Energy and Water, ACT), Kerry Scott (Environment and Heritage Council) and Liz Canning (Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts, Tasmania).

As indicated elsewhere in this Directory, any views or opinions, technical or otherwise, presented in the document are entirely those of the author and do not purport to represent the views of any government agency or officer.

Special thanks are due to Delia Matthews of DLA Phillips Fox for the support provided to David Cole in the final preparation of the Summaries.

CRC CARE wishes to acknowledge the contribution of all those who made this section of the Directory possible.
